This year I took a different approach to my 20 Things list — I started with intentions. I took a half hour to sit down and reflect on, at the highest level, what I wanted to get out of this year. This actionable list is a result of those intentions.
If you’re looking to make some changes this year, big or small, there are a couple of articles that you NEED to check out. The first is Gabby Bernstein’s 14 ways to make 14 miraculous. Louise Androlia also has great post that lays out the basics of manifesting and intentions. The key to change is being brutally honest with yourself. Try it! It’s. So. Freeing.
So, without further ado, 20 in 2014:
- Be unapologetic.
- Spend 1 night during the week away from the computer. Completely unplug.
- Drink a gallon of water/day.
- Read a book/month.
- Perfect the crow pose.
- Learn to shoot a gun.
- Finish a quilt, ANY quilt.
- Invest in real grown up furniture for my office.
- Try and limit shopping to Poshmark funds.
- Host a legit dinner party.
- Get a financial advisor.
- Bring sexy back.
- Eliminate the following words from my vocabulary: need, should, could, would, can’t.
- Do less multitasking. Focus on one thing at a time, and kick ass at it.
- Be an amazing auntie.
- Go skinny dipping.
- Take more bubble baths.
- Love wildly.
- Create a more well-rounded social media presence.
- Do game nights. Play more!
- Go camping.

PS: I carried over some of my goals from 2013 that didn’t get crossed off. I still want to do them!

So deep, Kate! Who’d have thought you’d be the sharp shooter wannabe?? Just had to mention that this past year, we were planning to pull up bedroom carpet & lay hardwood with a nice rug. So, I spent a small fortune on fabric to match said rug, cut out zillions of strips & eventually stuck it all in a drawer! However, I DID learn how to transform from a licensed clinical (medical) chemist to a certifiable Poshaholic!! LOL!! It’s been a wonderful change! Happy 2014 ! ????
