I’ve been toying with the idea of buying a new bed for a few months now, and there are three things stopping me:
- the size of my little studio
- the price (frame plus mattress = holy hell)
- the fact that I already have a complete bedroom set passed down to me from my great grandparents

Buuuut, that hasn’t stopped me from wanting a new one. Since I already have a beautiful dark wood art deco set, I’m looking for something that compliments the style and tone etc, but is completely different. Totally into upholstered and tufted. See below.
Connor Full Headboard with FREE Metal Bed Frame, $679, Club Furniture

White Blanc de Blanc Queen Headboard, $249.99, Target

Hollie Tufted Full Headboard, $299, JCPenney

3 Key Points about the Hollie Headboard:
- A tufted headboard for less than $300? Unheard of.
- I would never choose the color above, I’m more of a white girl
- Seeing the photo above is almost enough to push me over the edge and push order now. Stumbled across this shot on Decor Pad, and am pretty sure they’re the same headboard. Love how it just adds a little bit of glamour.

UPDATE 09/24/09: Evidently, Penney’s has sold through their stock on the Hollie Headboard. I’ve found a similar one at UO for the same price point. Check it out!

You know you can totally make your own tufted headboard. It wouldn’t be that hard! ex. http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/chicago/february-jumpstart-2009-entries/how-to-diy-tufted-headboard-charissas-february-jumpstart-project-2009-076400
