Bright Eyes

Aging has many great benefits: wisdom, experience, a larger bank account (hopefully).  One unattractive element of aging?  Dark under-eye circles.  Unfortunately genetics play a huge part in the severity of our raccoon eyes, so the best we can do is cover up.

I’ve tried tons of different concealers, but the best I’ve found is Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Éclat (Radiant Touch).  It’s like a magic eraser for your face.   A few strategically placed swipes virtually wipe away any trace of fatigue.  Light reflecting pigments in the formula brighten the dark under-eye area.  The concealer doubles as a highlighter for the brow bone and Cupid’s bow.  I love a multi-tasker!

Remember to always, ALWAYS test make-up before purchasing.  I typically buy towards the lighter end of the spectrum, but I use the level 3 (out of 4) of YSL Touche Éclat.  Buying a concealer either too light or too dark will either spotlight or magnify the problem.  And that’s exactly what I want you to avoid!

Love,

Ashley

*sorry this is late guys, it’s been another crazy week at work :)

Hi Ashley, where do you normally get that concealer? I need to rehaul my makeup and I was wondering if you had a recommendation for a daily facial moisturizer? I’ve run out of my old one! Thanks!

Hi Jess, I buy the YSL concealer at Sephora. For moisturizers, I recommend SkinCeuticals Emollience: http://www.skinceuticals.com/_us/_en/catalog/moisturize/Emollience.htm. It works quickly and beautifully. Cetaphil does a great job too for a fraction of the cost. :)
