I know today is THE day of giving thanks, but we all have so much to be thankful for every day. I love this art print by Evelyn Henson, a gentle reminder to start each day with positive intention.
Available in her Etsy Shop!
Happy Thanksgiving, loves. I’m so thankful for all of the blessings and lessons.
My cousin and I have known each other our entire lives — we were born only 4 months apart.
There are some colorful stories in our history: tense moments, laughter and tears, joy and pain. Like the time I got wacked in the face with a fisher-price toy fishing pole {total accident}, the countless debates over who got to wear purple{Lila, because pink didn’t look good with her skin tone} and who had to wear pink {yours truly}, or the cheerleader v. jock controversy {JFTR, cheerleading IS a sport}. Over the years we’ve become so close that she’s more like a sister to me than anything else.
These are my favorite shots of her from our most recent Sunday Shootout.

If you get a chance, hop on over to her blog and check it out! She is a crafty lady extraordinaire. Her about me page is THE BEST. Plus, she’s a lot of fun an a total riot:

This was just supposed to be another Sunday Shootout post, but I got all meditative and filled with gratitude so I decided to do a dedicated post instead. Lila, thank you for always being there for me, for helping me see situations in new ways, and for being such a soul sister. Love you to pieces.

Welp, today it’s back to reality! I’ve had a whirlwind week. If you’ve been following me on Instagram {@katefranco}, you’ve been seeing the trip in pictures. I definitely plan on doing a recap post, but first I wanted to follow up on a recent post called Summer of Love.
There were so many sweet comments/emails/facebook messages about that post that it inspired me. Recently, I’ve been using the #summeroflove hashtag on both Twitter and Instagram. For the next 30 days, each day I’m going to share something, anything, everything, that illustrates love and light for me. The best part is that anyone can join me on this journey! Use the #summeroflove hashtag because I’d love to see what you’re up to.
I’ll do a recap on the blog with a link up, too. No pressure! I’m looking forward to the opportunity to exercise some positivity!
