Hi Guys!
I’m really excited because this is a {slightly} short work week for me, and I’m sooo looking forward to seeing my long distance friends {here and here} and having a ridiculous crafty weekend!

Hello all!
Just wanted to send out a little update that I am doing great, thanks so much for all the well-wishes!
- If you haven’t checked out my guest post on a wondering star, you definitely should. I’m really proud of it! I think it’s really representative of what I am in to right now.
- I’m working on a new collaborative project with some wonderful girls. It’s an international blog project that features DIYs, and all sorts of creative inspiration. It’s been a lot of fun so far, and I’m hoping to have even more time to dedicate to it this week. The 7 other girls I’m blogging with are all so sweet and FULL of good ideas! You can also follow the Birds of a Feather Girls on twitter!
- I wanted to give AJ a thank you and a shout out for the beautiful blogger award…more on that later.
- Not sure if you checked out Patricia’s lovely inspiration from Friday, but you should! She was sweet enough to guest blog for me when I was having my wisdom teeth out!

I am admittedly new to flickr…and not sure how I feel about posting my own photos {I am definitely NOT a photographer…though I REALLY wish I was!} but I do definitely enjoy finding new faves. Well loves, this was supposed to be last Monday’s post…and it would have been more current and appropriate then…but I was sick. I’ve taken some of my fave looks from the Oscars and matched them to related pieces that us “little people” can afford.

To get this look try a watercolor print for soft and ethereal look. Let the watercolor stand out by keeping the jewelry minimal and simple. The color palette of the dress isn’t quite what I was going for…but I couldn’t resist because it was only $15. Can you believe that?! The nice part is that all of these pieces are available in multiple colors, so you can choose the palette that works best for you. 
And, thanks for all the well-wishes. I am feeling sooooo much better!
