Flatter your Figure: How to Minimize a Large Chest *part II of III*

Part II: Jackets

Sometimes the key to looking pulled together is a simple as adding a jacket or a cute blazer to your outfit. A jacket screams polished - more so than a cardigan or a hoodie (believe me, I am all about hoodies…just not at the office).

So. That said, what jackets work when you’re trying to conceal rather than reveal?

Tips:

  • Stick with single breasted jackets (versus double, which will make you look top heavy).
  • Pay attention to cut. You definitely want a jacket that is shorter as opposed to longer. The deeper the V in the jacket the better. Buttons that start below the bust will help “lock and load” the ladies. As with tops, the deep V will break up the chest area.
  • Pay attention to fit. Avoid boxy cuts, and look for jackets that nip in near the waist. Seaming at the torso can help with this.

Stay tuned for the final part in the flatter your figure series: dresses…coming soon!

PS - Check out Bluefly for blazers. They have a great selection!
