I mean…
Can we talk about the necklace?
It is NOT something I would have picked up in the store. And once I put it on, I couldn’t stop wearing it! It just made me so dang happy. And you be surprised the number of things it goes with, too. Sadly, I could not justify spending another $100 on a necklace, having just splurged on a GORGEOUS Loren Hope one. So alas, back to Rocksbox it went.
What is Rocksbox? Great question. It’s a subscription jewelry rental service. They send you a box with three hand-picked goodies based on your style profile and you wear and return as many times as you want in a month. It’s like having your own personal jewelry stylist! If you fall in love and want to buy a piece, you can buy it at a discounted rate. Pretty sweet. So far they’ve got me hooked. I sent over my Pinterest Baubles Board as a sample of my taste in jewelry, and so far they’re nailing my style!

Mixing neutrals punctuated with pops of color makes for a simple but impactful outfit. Some people shy away from mixing colors, especially neutrals, but I say go for it. It’s one of my absolute favorite “rules” to break.
All neutrals belong together.
I’m really excited to bring the layering back for fall and this chunky cardigan felt like the perfect way to do it. Another transitional look for sure: no sleeves and the citron color scream summer, but the booties and knit vest say otherwise. It’s a confused outfit, but somehow all the pieces manage to work together. I like to think it’s the attitude. Or the hair. Maybe a little bit of both.
Overall, this is one of the most comfortable looks I’ve worn in awhile, but I feel like I’ve been saying that a lot lately. I’m not stepping outside of my box much these days and that’s okay! I figure that’s what personal style is about sometimes — just being comfortable in your own skin and enjoying it.
