I’ve been wrestling with the concept of the crop top for at least 6 months. Should women over a certain age {AHEM, 30} be prohibited from wearing them? Do I look like I’m trying to be fun and 21 if I wear one? What on earth do you wear them with to look edgy, and not skanky?
My first black crop top was a miss. I tried to wear it many different ways, and ended up selling it on Poshmark with the tags still attached. But when I bought this skirt, I had the idea that it might be high waisted enough to pull off a crop. I also thought that something form-fitting would be appropriate, even though I’m not big on skin tight clothing. So I started looking. And I realize I’m not NastyGal’s target demo, but man do I love some of their stuff. This top was everything I hoped it would be.
The Payback black crop top looks TINY in the packaging. Like something seriously meant for a 5 year old. Don’t be scared, because somehow it fits. I totally dig the exposed back — worn with Bring it Up breast shapers, which have seriously changed my life. No more worrying about bras and tops that seem to defy them. Seriously. Try them!
