There were two very important things happening the day I wore this outfit. 1. I was meeting Drybar founder Alli Webb and 2. I had a date. Obviously, I needed to feel both awesome and comfy all day. And, I have to admit that I’m a little weird about being super fashion girl on a first date. So. That was a factor, too.
Naturally, I wore my new silver brogues. After the months of searching, I couldn’t be happier to have them on my feet and making a blog debut!
The sweater was found thanks to The Hunt {awesome} but the process of getting it was somewhat of a debacle:
After getting one completely wrong item in the mail after waiting 2 weeks, it seems I now have two of these sweaters. The only difference is that one has H&M tags, and the other doesn’t. That’s the funny thing about ordering direct from China, I guess. Everything’s made in the same factories, it’s just a matter of whether or not you slap a label on it or not. Still, overall positive experience. And I’ve been wearing the heck out of the sweater! You can find the extra one for sale in my Poshmark closet.
I really liked the subdued edgy and casual vibe. From the tonal oxblood {how rad is that leather jacket?!} to the faded distressed denim and a little metallic glam, this look was exactly what I needed. And, as it would turn out, the shoes are an excellent conversation starter.
PS: How amazing does that blowout look?! Thanks Drybar!
