Every girl deserves a pair of party pants. And I’d consider this silver sequined number the big sister version of the gold sequin hot pants I wore a few years ago in Vegas. Still loud and obnoxious, but maybe a bit more refined. I mean, they’re Madewell, so they can’t be that scandalous. Paired with some chic accessories, these sequin shorts get an upgrade. The plaid dresses it down, and brings it right on trend.
If you ever find yourself puzzling over what to wear with sequin shorts, I think plaid is an awesome option. Chambray is equally awesome, and a more classic option if you’re not feeling crazy trendy. Boots keep the look casual, but if you’re going for something dressy, stilettos work too. Remember to keep the accessories it simple, because those sequins are a whole lotta glitz and glamour.
Also: I have to admit that I’ve been on a bit of a bootie binge in the last month or so….three pairs! These See by Chloe ankle boots might really take the cake though. Wait until you see them with plaid trousers. I die.
