Casual Weekend Wear

by Kate Franco on April 25, 2014 · 2 comments

IMG_9958Lila and Ari have been friends since high school! And they are both super crafty ladies. This weekend, they are teaming up to host a build-your-own-terrarium event. I’m super stoked on creating my own terrarium {been wanting to do it for years}, but I was even more stoked when they asked for help in deciding what to wear. There’s nothing to NOT like about weekend wear.

The vibe is decidedly low key and casual, and the outfits definitely reflect that: deconstructed denim, oversized plaid  and minimal jewelry — especially when you’re working with your hands!

On Lila:

Forever 21 gingham/check button down, Buy Me Brunch Becky Tee, Levi’s bold curve skinnies and classic converse. One of the easiest ways to go oversized is by making sure you balance out your look. If you’re doing volume on top, keep the bottom super slim.

The messy rolled cuff on the jeans is my fave!

IMG_9923On Ari:

I love that when I suggested an oversized sweater with outrageous gold foil dinosaurs and a leather ball cap, Ari didn’t even bat an eyelash. “I’m game,” she said. So that’s what we went with and I love how fun the overall look is. Even if shorts are a little chilly for SF.

Forever 21 gold dino sweatshirt, leather ball cap via Poshmark, Short and shoes are Ari’s own.
