Coloring Outside the Lines

by Kate Franco on February 5, 2012 · 7 comments

My most recent project: a commissioned baby quilt. As you might imagine, with my propensity for exact measurements, instructions, and lists, I had a helluva time learning to “color outside the lines.” This is an improv quilt, so no measured strips or advance plan. Really a flybythedseatofyourpants kind of deal…and exactly the kind of thing I have a hard time with. And guess what? I loved the project! So fun!
