I did something really good for myself this past weekend guys, I went on a girl date!
One of my personal goals is to develop deep friendships with folks in proximity to me, people who have roots or are interested in building roots in the bay area. So, even though my life has fallen apart around me, there’s no time like the present, right?!
We took a stroll around the ferry building Saturday morning; it was great to connect with someone who has so many similarities and parallels to my own life. The weather was gorgeous — I mean — how many days a year can you wear shorts in SF?
We were introduced through a mutual friend {the person who recently broke my heart, incidentally}. Our date was made a little easier by the fact that we had corresponded a bit over email. Honestly, I’m bad enough at potentially romantic blind dates, let alone platonic friendship-based ones. All in all, it was good times! Yay!

Girl dates are the best! Love the outfit.
epitome of casual! so comfy!
Oh, I’m so glad you did this! It can be really nerve-wracking to meet new people, & it gives me some serious anxiety, but it’s so often worth it in the end when it results in new friends. 🙂
I think my experience in online dating has helped 😉
You look adorable and deserve to have a fabulous time with friends. Love you.
thanks shell. love you.
The analog version of you is even better than your awesome virtual self!
hah! thanks lady!
This is me asking you out. Creepy… kinda! Haha. Let’s do a girl date, Kate! I’d love to meet you in person since we’re both in the Bay and bloggers, and I’m settling my SF roots for sure. xoxo
Yeah, girl! Let’s do it. I’ll email you!
