How-To: Pretty in Pink

by Kate Franco on March 8, 2010 · 3 comments

With colors like blush, naked, and rose it’s kind of hard to go wrong, right? Truthfully, this is not my typical color palette but I have definitely been inspired by these images of late:

Pretty soft shades of pink are definitely a trend for spring 2010, so I’ve collected a variety of pieces that I think could be incorporated in to any wardrobe…warning: price tags are not for the faint of heart!

  1. Opening Ceremony Full Rose mesh miniskirt, Shopbop, $276
  2. Helmut Lang Pebble Silk Racer Back Top, Shopbop, $290
  3. Twelfth St by Cynthia Vincent Flounce Waisted Dress in Blush, Goldyn, $295
  4. Drawstring Back Cardigan, F21, $17.80

For me, the key to this look or color, is balancing it with something  a little bit more tough but basic. Here are a couple of examples that I dig:

If you’re like me, and you think this trend is a little too girly for your taste, try an accessory! Rose Gold is back! Loooove all of these:

  1. rose gold and opal ring, Overstock, $400.99
  2. Michael Kors rose gold watch, BagBorroworSteal, Register for Prices
  3. Cute little bow wristlet, FredFlare, only $12?!
  4. House of Harlow 1960 thick stack rose gold bangle, Kitson, $45 {i <3 bracelets, FYI. someday i bet you i turn into a one of those crazy-but-cool old ladies that has a stack of bracelets halfway up her arm.}

Happy shopping!

Oh I love wearing pink – so feminine and girly. Although light pink tends to wash me out because I’m so pale! The FredFlare wristlet is an amazing find for only $12! Such a great deal… 😉

*Hello* Thanks for the stunning comment. I’m so glad you stopped by, because your blog is so pretty. I wish for all those things, especially the ring!

OH SHeet, I didn’t realise that was my picture up there. Oh I love you even more!! Ha ha, I just thought “Oh that’s so pretty, reminds me of something.” Duh.

If you’d love to maybe do a guest post sometime, give me a shout. Actually, I’ll drop you a mail if that’s okay?

Have a fab week xoxo

Gorgeous! I’m loving soft pinks for spring. I really like these soft pieces paired with something a little harder (like those gorgeous boots).
