Well, it’s been a quick minute since we’ve done an ol’ outfit-pic-in-front-of-the-kitchen-door post, so indulge me…
I went to the West Elm/Pinterest event last night with one of my favorites, none other than a one Ms. Logan Triglia of Oh Hello. And because I’m a good girl I decided to play dress up in my closet instead of buying a new outfit.
This has to be one of my favorite black dresses…lace bodice, spaghetti straps, chiffon overlay. It’s pretty much a ballerina’s dream. Sadly, it’s not so appropriate for a happy hour meetup…
{Turns out I didn’t have to dress to impress. So it’s a REAL good thing I didn’t wear just the cocktail dress!} Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think I’ve pretty successfully dressed down my favorite LBD.The sweater was a total afterthought, but you know how cold it is in SF.
Compliments for the evening went to my shoes {Sam Edelman, similar pair here} and my earrings {Simply Vera Vera Wang for Kohls. Under $10. I’m serious} But in my mind…the real Pièce de résistance is this baby:
Reverse French braid? Don’t mind if I do.

um love all of it. Each piece is simply great and together they are casually fabulous! I am insanely jealous that you got to attend the meet up. I mean West Elm and Pintrest, be still my heart.
How did you do that braid?! Also – nice to see you like Pinterest – my brother’s good friend, Ben, is one of the co-founders – great guy!
Jean! What a small world. Pinterest has totally made my blogging life so much easier. Thanks Ben! As for the braid, I just kind of flipped my hair over, and did a french braid starting from the bottom instead of the top! Took all of 5 minutes 🙂
I bought a denim button-up the other day & am obsessed with belting it over things. Cute!
Oh, I LOVE your sweater! Seriously, I want to come steal it from you right now. I’m so happy that cozy layering season is on its way back!
I cannot get over how much I love this layered look! It has so much depth and it looks so comfy!
I love how you transformed that dress. The shirt and wrap look so cute together and it makes a great casual outfit.
