Little Lessons on a Tuesday

- 2 days left in my 30×30 and I. CANNOT. wait.
- I kind of might have cheated…and maybe bought something that could be good for NYE…don’t kill me, I couldn’t pass it up! NYE dresses have been kind of slim pickings around these parts.
- I forgot how much I LOVE those little sugar cookies with the christmas trees in them. I went a little nuts when I stumbled upon them in the grocery store today.
- Sometimes I spell things phonetically when I am writing in stream of consciousness. Like, I just started to spell sugar, “shugar” and got to the g before I started hitting the delete key.
- BBD = bigger better deal. God, I love Patty Stanger. I’ve also heard her radio show is pretty good. If you need advice on being single…and I guess I do. And relatedly: other bravo celebs I love = Kelly Cutrone and Rachel Zoe {obvi}.
- I find it somewhat ironic that the first time I get a flu shot in my life is also the first year I get the flu in a reallyreally long time {it was a 24-48 hour thing thank god}. But it is definitely going around these parts, so watch out!
- Who else wants to go see Black Swan!?
- I need a quick/easy craft project to get me out of this rut of mine! Preferably no sewing machine needed, since mine is still broken. I’m thinking about trying journaling, just to free my mind a little bit. Crafty gals, what do you think?
- Super obsessed with dance movies {as in, I may have seen step up in theaters…twice}. But now I am also obsessed with dance video games. Slightly more expensive hobby.
- After I get through this girl with the dragon tattoo business, I’m pretty sure I am going to reread the chronicles of narnia. I found my original copy {also mom’s original copy} when I was unpacking and it’s been staring at me from the bookcase. Also, previews for the new movie have been circulating, and I’m pretty sure it’s time for a refresher. #dork.

Hi, fellow remixer here, slowly getting around to visiting all of the remixers’ blogs. It’s hard not to shop and yes, Black Swan sounds like a good film. Best of luck on the remaining challenge.
i want to go see black swan so bad it’s like whoa. i’ve watched the preview around a million times. amazing.
and i am also on the hunt for more craft projects. the ones i want to do seem to involve an awful lot of supplies and planning. let me know when you find one!
I want to see Black Swan SO BAD. It’s not in theatre’s near me until next weekend though GUHHHHH.
I have been itching to start a real written journal lately. Like not online. Something I haven’t done in about 8 years. So I vote you craft yourself a cute little journal (or maybe idea book?). A little glue and a plain notebook and some decorations.
hi! i’ve never commented but i love your blog! i especially love these life lessons posts… i can relate so well to them! and yes, even though i normally bake everything from scratch, the little cookies with the trees are amazing!
Jackie! Thanks for following and commenting, you’ll have to share a favorite baking recipe or something so that I can try it out!
There is an awesome tutorial on how to make a little daily journal that I love at http://www.designspongeonline.com/2010/12/diy-project-vintage-postcard-calendar-journal.html
I also have a zutter binding machine that you can borrow. I put together a bunch of old paper from etsy and new paper to make a notebook that I love. With the zutter you can put together any set of papers and bind them together. Fun, fun, fun …
