Little Lessons on a Tuesday

by Kate Franco on March 8, 2011 · 8 comments

  1. Chunky jewelry is expensive and it makes me sad because one of the learnings from this round of remixing is that I need new jewelry. BUT, I am absolutely OBSESSED with this tutorial.
  2. I finally broke my dry spell! I started crafting again! I’m knitting a little ear warmer/turban/headband deal that I’m pretty excited about. Not thrilled about the yarn…but I figure this first one is a trial run. Get it all figured out and such and then make something darling. {Update: I spent $50 on assorted yarn from Purl Soho last night. Woops.}
  3. Blended peach bellinis are where it’s at.
  4. I really like the show My Life as Liz. Yes, I realize it’s made for kids/teens. But she kind of reminds me of a real life Daria.
  5. To all the mean girls out there: Good luck. Also known as: Haters to the left.
  6. It’s amazing how hanging out with like-minded people can be so energizing! It’s awesome to just be able to bounce ideas off someone ALL. THE. TIME. At the most random times. What an inspired life I could lead!
  7. In the last couple of weeks I’ve developed this terrifying habit of turning off my alarm in my sleep.
  8. Sometimes working in Palo Alto is like working in a foreign country. Honestly.
  9. Boys: Running shoes are for running. Please don’t wear them on a date. Further advice forthcoming.
  10. This project on gratitude makes me really happy.

I have seen that tutorial, too, and thought that looked really cute. I also came across this one recently and thought it would be another truly do-able DIY. Maybe you’ll think the same.
