Little Lessons on a Tuesday

- I only like coconut water if it has another kind of juice added in. I think it tastes kind of dirt-y. As in, like dirt.
- I got chocolate on my white duvet cover last week. Eating bon-bons while blogging…brutal combo.
- Karl Lagerfeld says, “Sweatpants are a sign of defeat. You lost control of your life so you bought some sweatpants.†I say, Karl, sometimes sweatpants are just the most comforting thing around. I’m not wearing them outside for heaven’s sake. {well, except that one time I went to Mitchell’s Ice Cream wearing sweats and rain boots. Yeah…}
- 2 + 3=4: Bon-bons in bed and sweatpants. Looks like someone needs to get a life!
- Still looking for a lipstick that looks like this one.
- I’m loving the old school and ladylike knee length silhouettes that are everywhere right now.
- I don’t usually blow dry my hair. If it doesn’t have time to air dry, I show up places with wet hair. A little unrefined, no?
- I bought a really fancy sewing machine in December & I still haven’t learned how to use it.
- Been working on being more gracious; definitely went out of my way to give a guy directions on public transit the other day and he ended up being a total creep. Ugh.
- The state of my inbox is appalling. In tandem, I find it funny that people tweet so much about how behind they are on email and wonder if it’s a sign I’m not networking as much as I should; I mostly just have issues with junk mail as a result of liking to shop too much.

I think coconut water tastes like the melted popsicle in the bottom of the wrapper. Weird I know.
I might be alone on this one, but bon-bons and sweats sounds like a wonderful life to me. Not alone of course, but wonderful when combined with other things…
Kate, you might try MAC’s Girl About Town lipstick if you’re looking for that color. I think it might be a bit “bluer” than the picture, but it’s a wonderful bright pink and one of my faves. Regardless, MAC has a bunch of other amazing bright pink lipsticks, so you’re almost bound to find one that’s a dupe!

I love Meryl too. She’s phenominal. And I died laughing when I googled a pic of Molly Ringwald and put it next to those photos. You are so right. The funny thing is that I actually do have naturally curly hair (I’m currently trying to grow it into a short bob with my mess of curls. shhh…), but it’s too short to go curly right now. Thanks for the laugh!
