Little Lessons on a Tuesday

- Mix: gold//silver, stripes//florals, serious//spazzy, wood//metal, modern//traditional, high end//lowbrow. My philosophy: break all of the rules in style. Not life.
- I received my first hate comment on my blog this weekend. Do you suppose that means I’ve “made” it? Welp, that’s how I’m taking it, anyhow.
- Brazen Careerist has a new app on facebook that is pretty cool. Merges your Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter profiles to great one sweet infographic. Talk about the easiest resume making experience ever! Actually will definitely be updating my LinkedIn profile as a result. That thing is so out of date!
- The badges I qualify for within this app? Book Nerd, Positivity, Social Media Ninja and CEO in training. Holla!
- Strawberry pop tarts, no frosting, toasted with a little butter: YUMMMM.
- I use a paper calendar to record events. I like the idea of carrying it around for some reason. Is that hipster?
- My sweet little desk has been irritating me lately, striking me as woefully inadequate. What I need is a bonafide home office so I can get down to bizness.
- Never ask me to name that artist, pick up on lyrics from a song, name that tune, or categorize artists/tracks into genres. I will fail every time, for sure.
- Feeling energized with the reality that I have just brought a whole bunch of new like-minded people into my life.
- I’ve fallen behind on my reading again {2011 goal is 1 book/month}, BUT did order my new glasses so I’ll be able to read easy soon!
- Think I might want to trade out my dream of a little clothes hanger tattoo for a horseshoe. hmmm.

Hate comments are the worst, but there’s also something exhilarating about them, isn’t there? I want to see yours! Did you delete it?
That Brazen Careerist app sounds cool. It actually makes me want to reactivate my account… tomorrow will be a week! Think I’ll get back on & just, you know, not use it much, which was the whole point. But I WILL do this!

When I got my first hate comment (sooner than you in blog lifespan — does that mean I’m super hateful???) I printed it and stuck it on a wall and danced.
Of course you’re a hipster. The fact that you deny you’re a hipster ensures it.
