Little Lessons – Weekend Edition {On a Tuesday}

by Kate Franco on June 8, 2010 · 4 comments

  1. I love summer! {Actually got to wear shorts in SF on Saturday.}
  2. Brittany, from the “petite” season of ANTM goes to Santa Clara, holla!
  3. I like lists, organization, and following instructions. I am really bad at all of these in my personal life, but am GREAT at them in the professional realm.
  4. Macbook Pros are heavier than regular Macbooks…not so great for the walk to work. {but three cheers for a more efficient work computer!}
  5. I desperately need new flats! {any suggestions? send me links!}
  6. Nightmares are scary!
  7. I’ve been having nightmares where something bad is happening and I can’t scream or talk because I have no voice {any thoughts on what that means?}
  8. I enjoy day drinking on a Saturday when I have all of Sunday to recover.
  9. I don’t like drinking so much that I cry.
  10. Buster Posey is supercute. {I can’t believe he’s 23. eek.}

re: flats-
I got these at the Rack and they’re super comfy, and really classy. I don’t usually do flats but I loooove these.
Also these are so cute! I kind of want them.

3. I started using for both my work and personal to-do’s – you might want to try it!
5. It’s really like 90% nutrition, but I recommend reverse curls , oblique twists and planks. Also, try sitting on a stability ball at work for a couple hours a day.
7. You’re literally feeling like you aren’t being heard – maybe you need to speak up at work or with a friend or family member – let them know you need them to listen and be honest and open.

I’m getting to this late, but I just wanted to weigh in on the nightmares thing. I have them every night. Most of the time mine are just scary adventures, but once in a while I have a dream where I’m in danger and incapacitated in some way. Sometimes I can’t scream, sometimes I can’t punch, sometimes I can’t run away because my feet feel like lead. They all mean the same thing. Like Jean said, you might feel like you’re not being heard, but it is under a bigger umbrella that there is something in your life that you feel powerless against. Even if you don’t resolve it entirely in your waking life, taking steps toward confronting whatever it is will help you sleep better at night. Love you!
