I’ve been getting a lot of flak lately for spouting off about my belief that people who are tall get more street cred in the workplace. Guess what. It’s. TRUE. Hence, I always wear heels.

I’ve gotten smart over the years though and am serious about wearing walking shoes for my commute. A few years ago I ended up with some major ligament/tendon issues in my right ankle and left knee/thigh as a result of NOT wearing walking shoes. It was so stupid and I had to do physical therapy! Lame!

P.S. I love this outfit. The blue lace shift dress pictured was in my last 30×30 remix and I never figured out a way to work into my winter wardrobe. Gray sweater solves it all.

You look great! Love those shoes on you! Also, I second your statement about taller = more power. I wear heels pretty much every day, and the days I don’t I end up feeling frumpy and short. Moccasins for the commute, though. Lugging a giant gym bag in stilettos is a no-go.

I love the skinny belt. It is one of the lessons I have learned during 30 for 30. I have a little shopping list going… 🙂

I love the shoes! I wear heels often, but I work in a pretty casual office, so I often get my middle-aged coworkers who wear white sneakers asking me why I’m so dressed up.
