The combination of this oversized moto vest with the slouchy boyfriend shorts could be a little overwhelming, I guess. But, I like to be comfortable and part of that means not wearing skin tight clothes {bleh!} It’s so part of my wheelhouse that it’s a running joke with pretty much anyone who knows me.
“Well you know how Kate is, she says she’s a 26…but she wears a large.”
“Why are you selling that shirt? Because it’s clearly too big for you?”
Or, in the case of this outfit:
“Hey! You know that vest is like 20 sizes too big for you, right?”
Well, sir, I think that’s the point. I like it like that.
That said, my favorite elements aside from this outfit are the earrings that perfectly coordinate with the shades of blue in the blouse and the leather epaulets/detail on the moto vest.

Great look Kate – I love the mixture of pieces, the accessories are perfection! <3
Thanks Caity!
I totally know what you mean – I’m super into oversize pieces too. Sometimes my husband has to intervene and say “honey, that is swallowing you. No!” haha but you look great! Love the layering – is it fall yet?!

🙂 We’re about to hit our short “indian summer” here in SF, but fall is right around the corner…I can taste it! Bring on the layers! Thanks for stopping by, Nikki!
Ahh it’s the Blog Brunch outfit! I LOVE this look, it was def the one that caught my eye the most at the event! You are inspiring me to get a moto vest, oversized of course 😉
You should — it would look so fab on you! Loved meeting you at blog brunch. xox.
I love this! The slouchy shorts with the heels are a great touch. Definitely going to be incorporating that look this summer…assuming I wear heels at all. Damn you SF casual style! 😉
