Little Lessons on a Tuesday

1. I loathe going to the doctor & dentist because of the criticism not because of the pain. I hate criticism! {I know, tough world to be in, right?}
2. I threw out a pair of shoes today that seriously tore up my feet. I felt bad about throwing them away, but I would not wish that pain on ANYONE. I probably would have felt worse about donating them. And the criminal thing is that they weren’t even heels! Tore my feet up over a measly pair of flats! boo.
3. Crayola makes “people colors”. So cool! I wish I was artistically inclined! I want to buy some just so I can figure out what color I am.
4. I have been using the word dude WAY too much lately. Like whoa.
5. April 13th is looking like MY day. Why you ask? Well, I say, it’s National Peach Cobbler Day AND Scrabble Day. Twofer!
6. It’s amazing how being allowed to work from home can save your sanity. I love you 1st and 3rd Mondays. And my bosses for instituting the policy.
7. I think I found something I like with these Pilates sessions. I wonder how many times a week I have to practice to actually get in shape? The problem with once a week is that I don’t retain the lessons as well as I should/could. I’m hoping to be good enough after this round of private sessions to take some classes and do mat work at home.
8. I really want a new springy lipstick. Anyone have suggestions?
9. Every week I write at least 13 little lessons. And every week at least 3 of them suck and have to be edited out. {in this week’s trash: a bit about taco bell refried beans, a line from an old SATC episode, and some otherwise pithy dribble.}
10. I love sitting at my vanity and getting ready for a night out with a yummy glass of red wine. If I’m feeling sweet I’ll even wear a slip. It’s such a feminine ritual and one of my favorite things about being a girl.
