Little Lessons on a Tuesday

1. Vacation deets: June 24-July 5. Get after it!!
2. You can tell I’m feeling sick when I don’t wear heels. Heels somehow make it worse.
3. My current Steve Madden black pumps lasted longer than my Charles David ones, were half the price, and haven’t had to be resoled once. Sadly, I’m starting to look for my next pair because the Steve Maddens are kind of looking a little ratty. Any suggestions?
4. I slipped up on my shopping ban: there was a dress I fell in love with{via pinterest no less}. And I have so many wedding events coming up, that it is sure to come in handy. AND it was only $42. Justification much? Oh, and I got gold sequined shorts, too {Vegas, baby!} {Bad Kate.}
5. Expectation is the root of all disappointment; I constantly set myself up for failure.
6. I finished The Help tonight…started it Sunday night…yep, I am a pretty damn quick reader. I am so happy to be back in the swing of reading! Suggestions welcome!
7. I haven’t been posting outfit pictures because I haven’t been getting dressed. Well, I mean, I’ve been getting dressed, but nothing even remotely spectacular interesting. a. NO SHOPPING. b. MUST DO LAUNDRY!
8. I think writing in all capital letters is rude the vast majority of the time.
9. Go get yourself some Ben and Jerry’s Red Velvet ice cream. You won’t be sorry. Unless you don’t like red velvet or cream cheese. Or ice cream.
10. Also: I want to make some homemade ice cream this summer, real bad. Reminds me of being a kid.
