I am sooo loving this outfit. The fur vest has been a staple for a couple of seasons now, but that blouse {from F21} makes my heart sing. It’s got a sweet retro print on it that reminds me of 1930’s reproduction fabrics. Yes, I’m serious.
A couple of last tips on layering that I thought of in the shower this morning:
- I have started buying some of my tops {especially v-neck tees} in larger sizes. Both of the shirts in this photo are larges from F21. Personally, I kind of hate tops that are too tight/restricting. Most of the time I feel like they’re trying to hard. “Hey! Look at me! Over here with the curves! Heyheyhey!” A loose v-neck tee is totally sexier {to me} than a shirt that is so tight you can see every curve. But I guess that’s neither here nor there. My suggestion for layering is to size up, especially if you want tee to poke out of the bottom of your outfit, or if you want to have room for extra layers underneath a sweater/blouse.
- A belt will cure anything, and take a shapeless outfit into a fitted one. Key if you’re wearing tops that are sized up {see above}.
- Vests, vests, vests, I can’t get enough. Wear them. I used to be all about short sleeve sweaters {just ask my friend Alex}, but I’ve moved onto vests.
- Check out my additional tips on layering {layering = cake}.

This is a very chic look. I like the pairing of the leopard print with the red colour. Layering is the thing now the weather is getting colder!
