I’ve probably said it a million times, but there’s nothing I love more than a comfortable outfit, and this. is. it. Perfect for a Monday, if you ask me.
Can I get an amen for some fresh-faced skin? Gawd, my skin is like my arch-nemesis these days, I swear. I’ve been up many a late night scouring the interwebs for skin remedies. Treatments/theories in the running: treating skin with lemon juice, Simone France, water and sleep. I’m pretty convinced that my skin is a combo of plain old hormones and cold weather, so I’m not convinced any of these are actually going to help. I am curious though, what are your go-to skin solutions?
In other news: fantastic trip to Walnut Creek this weekend with Gina. We hit up a bunch of consignment/thrift shops and majorly scored, including the black leather sweater pictured. Also thrifted: A brand new Helmut Lang dress for $135, a classic DVF dress for $85, premium denim for $45, and a really rad set of plates.
Head to Toe: Hat via Poshmark, Necklaces via The Word Smith, Nordstrom, Emerson Fry, Thrifted Jacket, Target Tee, Horse scarf via Norstrom, Too many bracelets to name, DKNY watch via Poshmark, J Brand Love Story Jeans in Pure wash, Seychelles heels, Alexander Wang Rocco via Poshmark.

I am so jealous you had a great time thrifting! Most of the times when I go, I come up empty handed & tired 🙁 I also really like this laid-back look with the comfy v-neck and the wide leg jeans!! I’ve been wanting to try out that look but I don’t know if it’ll make me look chunky or chic haha!

um definitely chic 🙂 can’t wait to see how you style it! xox.
Wow, sounds like you found some major stuff! I don’t get the Scooby Doo reference, but I like this ensemble! 😉
me neither! something to do with a halloween episode, and it was totally meant as a compliment as the person was a big scooby doo fan. lol. i love it.
Cutie! This is a classic Katef outfit and I love it! Especially the layered necklaces.
makes me happy that you see this as classically me. i felt very “me” 🙂 xox.
Kate – my skin has never been so clear and hydrated since I started being consistent with OCM. Jojoba oil works best for my skin. I finish up with a couple minutes with a facial brush. I use the Oil of Olay one. Arran oil makes me break out into a rash, but I know lots if people use that for OCM. My roommate uses sweet almond oil and looks great.
Argan – not Arran – autocorrect!
Yeah, we’ve talked about the benefits of oils before. I use argan and coconut, and I think I’m going to do a post about it soon 🙂
Cute, love the bright scarf against the neutral palette! Hmmm….as far as skin secrets- I like to use an Olay Regenerist at night layered on top of some sort of serum to help soak up the moisturizer. In the morning I use the Olay pulsating brush and use Garnier BB cream before applying minimal makeup- I’ve let got of the fact that I will never have NO eyebags, so I’ve given up on hiding them! 😉 xx

Thanks ladies! I’m pretty obsessed with it 🙂
I love your wide leg trousers! I pulled mine out of the closet the other day, i am so sick of skinnies!

Tori! I agree. Still love my skinnies, but have been craving something different AND have been totally into dressing with a little 70s bohemian flair lately. 🙂 xox.
I’ve been feeling the same way with my skin lately! I’ve been trying to stay on track eating healthy and drinking a ton of water – I truly believe it makes a difference in my skin! But in the meantime I’ve also tried to limit the use of hot water (even though I’m freezing!) and use extra gentle products. I also do little steam baths every week or so! Love your outfit by the way!!
I agree that water is so key. I have an issue with being generally dehydrated as is, so it makes it THAT much more critical. Steam bath is a great idea — have you heard of a detox bath? I kind of want to try that! (http://www.guidetobodycleansing.com/detoxbathrecipes.html – simple cleansing bath is the one I’ve heard of…) xox.
Loving this casual outfit! I like comfortable outfit as well 🙂
You so lucky to found those awesome treasures at the thrift store! 🙂
