Okay, I recognize that most people probably can’t wear this to work so I shouldn’t technically call it a daytime to date night kind of look. But I can, so I’m gonna. I like to think of it as dressed down sass. And of course it would be dressed down…it’s me! This outfit went from a 10 hour workday all the way to drinks at Bar Agricole, where I had a Monkey’s gland. A drink, not actually a monkey’s gland. Gross.
In other news, I wish all the pictures had been as saturated as the last pictured here. Any DSLR users have suggestions on how to get a really color rich photo? I’m already shooting during the magic hour, perhaps it’s just the winter cold seeping into the photos.

How insanely great is that cape?!
I was gonna say, these photos turned out great! Love the color! The clutch and cape are the best!
I’m sure you could saturate your photos with simple tools from iPhoto!
By the way, I love your cape! It’s such a cute look for this season I wish I could pull if off without looking like a bear in a blanket!

Sarah! I have tried iphoto, but sometimes the enhance features blows all the colors out of proportion, I should play around with the more manual ones. I also have photoshop, but am in need of better filters/actions. 🙂 xox.
I’m not really that handy with a DSLR yet. My husband usually does all the picture taking, so he knows how to manipulate. I’ll try to remember to ask and get back to you!
I love this cape in these photos. It looks so cozy but it’s so pretty!
Aw thanks Laura! Would love any tips. xox.

love the look. I would say try bracketing, meaning, try shooting a couple different exposures. Or you can always increase the saturation in your photo editing software.
Thanks for the advice 🙂 I’ll definitely try that.
