Going grunge, again. The ’90s are having a hot moment, and I’m reveling in it. I was just talking with my brother about how innocent we were as ’90s teens. We got all nostalgic about childhood and stuff, so I find this outfit particularly fitting. I never would have worn this in the ’90s though. I was too busy with overalls, crop tops and pagers to pay much attention to anything else.
Also: this look is maybe a little more Jordan Catalano than Angela Chase, which I’m cool with. I think it has something to do with the jacket. {I still can’t believe that show was only on for one season!}
And yes, that’s crushed velvet your seeing. With knee high socks.
Head to Toe: Aritzia Rayder Jacket, Rachel Roy velvet dress via Poshmark, socks {thanks mom!}, Frye Melissa boots

Have you been into a Brandy Melville store? Talk about a blast from the ’90s past: sunflower prints, flannel and X back small floral print dresses. Although I do remember graduating flannel plaid to pink plaid jumpers, a la Cher from Clueless. Gotta love that decade!
Sunflower prints! The very first piece of clothing I ever made was a SUNFLOWER SKORT. Thanks for the blast from the past 🙂
Yep. Your new lens rules. And so does this outfit.
Thanks Adi!
I’m such a good photog. Kidding. Not only did I have your new lens to play with, but a gorgeous model to shoot! LOVE this look on you. Soooooo @katef.

Thanks for shooting me, boo 🙂
Too cute! I especially love the socks with the boots – Fab! <3
Thanks Caity! Definitely blast from the past! Your grunge look from this week also reminded me a bit of Clueless 🙂
Love the socks with the boots. Cute clutch!!
Thanks Kate! Socks kept me surprisingly warm — no need for tights just yet 🙂
