Vibe

I had such a great time hanging out with my cousin this weekend {my usual crafty partner in crime} and for the first time in a long time, I feel inspired to create. I can’t believe it’s been a year since I’ve sewn anything independently.

Here are some quick snaps of a baby quilt I did for Harper {my friend Kristin’s baby girl}.

One thing I’ve really learned in the last few months is that you have to surround yourself with the people who lift you up…people who are inspiring, engaging, and exciting. It’s so motivating! On top of that, for me at least, creation is largely about being in a happy space. For the first time this year, I feel light, unburdened, lovely, and well. Yessss. I can’t wait to roll up my sleeves and get to work!

That quilt it soooo cute! I love it, and can’t wait to see what else you make!

I also know what you mean about surrounding yourself with inspiring people. I’m a real home-body, so I like being alone in my home with my BF and animals. But that’s also made me realize that I’m missing out on opportunities to meet and engage with others where I live! I’ve made a serious effort over the last 6 months or so to surround myself with new and old friends, even just to hang out and debrief from the chaos that is life. It’s definitely motivating.

Can’t wait to see more of your creations!
