IÂ like making lists, but it turns out that I’m not so great at crossing things off. I’m batting .60 this year.
- buy original art for my apartment
- get a new bed
- learn how to paint {tried, but I suck!!}
- reorganize my closet
- read 1 book a month {Doing pretty well on this one!}
- find someone to create a new undeniable style banner
- plan a trip abroad {WIP}
- do yoga {swapping this out for pilates!}
- learn to be more flexible
- finish Alexis and Ed’s wedding quilt {before their 1 year anniversary}
- amp up my machine quilting skills
- practice writing…typography.
- design at least 1 cute fabric
- pay off that last little bit of credit card debt {I moved in order to help facilitate this…well this and #7, and my plans to save for the future…}
- host dinner for people i love at least once a month
- start keeping a journal again
- participate in a stash swap
- use my gym membership more than once a month!
- drink more good wine
- work on being MORE positive and grateful
In my defense, I chose A LOT of recurring/ongoing goals. Tough!
I will say that I feel like I have grown a lot this year in being more flexible and more positive/grateful. Those were definitely the most challenging things on this list, and will likely be on my list for 2011, if nothing more than to keep me motivated.
A lot of the things I fell short on related to money and time. Like: plan a trip abroad, pay off credit card debt, design cute fabric and amp up my machine quiliting skills. Sad pancakes, but hurrah to 2011.
Other things I accomplished this year: lots of hair lust, moving the entire contents of my studio apartment in the middle of a thunderstorm, 30×30 & no shopping for 30 days!, and not having an aneurism based on stress from my day job. Well done, indeed.
Bring on the new year! xox

for reading 1 book a month while *not* having an aneurism from the day gig, you deserve an award.

I’d say that 60% is better than a lot of people do! You accomplished quite a bit in 2010. Here is to 2011!
